Mission Statement for I.C.C. Youth Ministry

The mission of the Immaculate Conception Youth Ministry is to bring youth closer to Christ and to a fuller knowledge, appreciation, and participation in their life as young Catholics by….

“fostering the personal and spiritual growth of each young person, drawing them to full and responsible participation in the life, vision, and mission of our community, and empowering them to become disciples of Christ and to actively witness their faith.” (taken from the USCCB statement: Renewing the Vision)

Goals:

To grow closer to Christ and to each other.

To learn why it is so awesome to be Catholic.

To give youth an opportunity to offer their talents through works of service, participation in the liturgy, and assuming leadership roles in church and youth group functions.

To educate the youth in Catholic teaching and doctrines.

To increase their devotion for the Holy Eucharist.

To act as mentors/examples to youth of a deeply Christian life.

To create a welcoming, comfortable, and fun environment for youth to gather.
